Replacing a slow, difficult-to-maintain WordPress site with a cleaner operational platform

Top Team Building approached DevX with an existing WordPress site that no longer provided a reliable foundation for the business. The technical assessment classified loading speed as very poor and implementation best practices as poor.

The audit identified a loading screen that delayed access to content, heavy slider usage, images that were not consistently resized or optimized, unnecessary plugins, an inefficient DOM structure, broken links and navigation that did not expose the company’s services clearly enough.

The client-facing area also consumed server resources in a way that would become increasingly expensive to maintain. Taken together, these were not isolated cosmetic defects.

DevX recommended rebuilding the site on a cleaner WordPress foundation instead of adding another optimization layer to the previous implementation.

The project combined technical modernization with a visual refresh. The brand remained recognizable, while the interface, layout and logo treatment were refined to produce a more coherent and contemporary experience.

The implementation was planned around the agreed budget and the capabilities the client actually needed, rather than loading the site with tools that would recreate the same maintenance problem.

The rebuilt website was delivered, tested and reviewed with the client. Following the final implementation cycle, the client confirmed that the result was acceptable and proceeded with the administrator training and handover.

The project also developed into an ongoing technical relationship. DevX continued to assist with operational questions and website-related support after the initial delivery.
