Modernizing a commercial vehicle platform around structured inventory and marketplace integrations

Verkauf Trucks needed more than a visual refresh. Its website, vehicle database, external marketplaces and promotional workflows had to behave as a connected operational system that could continue evolving with the business.

Project overview

The business had outgrown a collection of isolated website changes

The platform was responsible for more than presenting vehicles. It connected internal stock information, customer-facing listings, promotional activity and third-party channels used by the commercial team.

As requirements expanded, the website and the underlying vehicle data needed clearer structure. Synchronization issues with external marketplaces, new service categories, changing contact information and campaign requirements created a steady stream of operational work.

At the same time, the visual layer no longer reflected the direction the company wanted to communicate. Functional modernization and redesign therefore had to be planned as one programme rather than two unrelated projects.

A staged modernization that protected day-to-day operations

DevX prioritized the functional layer first: vehicle-data structure, administration workflows and the behaviours that affected publishing and synchronization.

The visual redesign was developed and reviewed in Figma across desktop and mobile. Once the direction was approved, it was translated into the live platform while preserving the business processes already used by the team.

This staged model reduced the risk of replacing a working commercial system in one disruptive release and created room for ongoing improvements after the primary delivery.

Engineering work delivered

  • Improved vehicle catalogue, detail and administration workflows.
  • Structured data fields and content used across the commercial inventory.
  • Investigated and supported vehicle synchronization with Autovit.
  • Integrated Autoline trust and dealer elements into the website.
  • Implemented NETOPIA-related scripts and payment trust elements.
  • Added the required ANPC and alternative-dispute-resolution information.
  • Implemented promotional tags and campaign behaviours, including Black Friday requirements.
  • Translated approved Figma designs into responsive desktop and mobile interfaces.
  • Integrated the refreshed brand assets and updated company information.
  • Continued maintenance, troubleshooting and feature development after the primary release.

A platform that can support both inventory operations and continued commercial change

The result is a more coherent operating platform in which vehicle data, public presentation, marketplace requirements and campaign changes can be handled within the same technical context.

The engagement continued beyond the initial implementation, allowing DevX to retain product knowledge and respond to synchronization issues, new categories, integrations and marketing requests without repeatedly rediscovering the system.

Delivered outcomes

  • Unified technical context for inventory, website and marketplace work
  • Responsive redesign implemented from approved Figma prototypes
  • Support for external commercial and payment integrations
  • Promotional functionality integrated into the operating platform
  • Ongoing engineering relationship after the primary delivery

The platform continues to evolve through ongoing business and engineering work.
